City Repair facilitates artistic and ecologically-oriented placemaking through projects that honor the interconnection of human communities and the natural world. Im starting this group because I recently purchased a home on acre of land in oregon city. One third or more of the property is a blank slate to plant any vegetable, fruit, or plant that we want to. The size of the available space has to much potential to just sit there and be mowed once a week. So lets all make some new friends and share in planting and mataining an amazing garden. Tigard's current chicken keeping laws require 100' between a chicken coop and the closest neighboring residence. Most homes do not have this large of a lot. City Council is ready to amend these laws, and make them friendlier to backyard coops - they're just waiting to hear our collective chicken-loving voices! Help me organize and address city council to allow existing coops to remain, and bring more backyard chickens into our community.
